It's been since Thanksgiving since I've posted anything, but I figure I'll just pick up where we are and move on. :)
Dylan is 9.5 months now! At his 9 month checkup he weighed 21 lbs, 13 oz and was 29 inches long. He was in the 75%ile across the board! What a big boy. He continues to be a happy, laid back baby. Much like Micah at this age, Dylan eats a TON! He's very active, so I think he must burn a lot of calories. He's still not interested in feeding himself any food, though he can pick up Cheerios off his tray. One of these days he'll realize he needs to put them in his mouth! Everything else goes there...I'm not sure why food doesn't. :) He's not at all interested in crawling yet either. Micah was a late crawler too, so I'm not worried about it, and I'm just enjoying how he will sit in one place and play with his toys so nicely! He had his first haircut today, which was quite an experience, but it was no worse than Micah's. At least we knew what to expect this time! Here are a couple of pictures of Dylan. (I guess they went to the top of the post...they're in a text format so I can't move them...sorry!)
Micah is a month short of being two and a half! He's growing up so quickly. He's just talking our ears off lately and always has something new to say. One of my favorites is, "What's that guy doing?" He often sees kids walking to their bus stop in the morning, points them out, and says that. He'll use it at random times for males or females. :) He's enjoying books a lot now - even listening to the story! He knows his favorite ones well and will fill in the next words if you stop in the middle of a sentence. We are blown away at how smart he is and how quickly he learns. He has recently started to interact with Dylan in such a sweet way. Dylan now says, "Da-da-da-da-da" a lot. One day Micah repeated it back to him and Dylan grinned at him in response. It was so sweet! I said, "Oh Micah, that's so sweet! Dylan loves it when you talk to him!" He does it all the time now - especially if Dylan is upset. It never fails to make Dylan smile. Every time he does it, I say, "Dylan loves it when you talk to him!" and so now Micah says it for me right after he says, "da-da-da." Except his version goes something like, "Didin talk to him loves you!" He's so cute how he flips it around. It's just fun to see a sweet side developing toward his brother. :) I'll put a pic of Micah up top too.
Oh, how I love my boys!
